I was always a pretty awkward kid, so for a long time, it seemed like my grandmother was the only person who understood me. As I got older, she told me stories about her girlhood in Montreal and her life in Albany, all while cooking some of the most incredible food I've ever tasted. On what would have been her 90th birthday, WAMC aired my remembrance of her. The response was incredible. Dozens of people wrote in to tell me about the food their grandmothers used to make and the stories she used to tell. I know my Grammy would be proud.
